Help, 5 days later water is still cloudy

Hi, Last Thurs. I set up a 75 gal tank with 4 bags of un-rinsed fluorite. I put 3" of water in it and planted it around every 3" is a plant. I took hours to fill it and the water is fairly clear. The next morning every day it's like trying to see the house across the street, without any luck, on a very foggy day. In 5 days I have done 1 2/3's water change and 3 complete 100% water changes. The results are always the same, pretty clear until the next morning. What should I do to clear this up?

I have an AquaClear 110 filter on it. Should I power it down? Would the current be stirring up the cloudiness? The last water change I did a deep vacuuming. I know others have had success with fluorite without topping it. I haven't put any fish in it yet. Please help!

I think you just have to be patient, really patient. If it's a bacterial bloom changing the water will probably make it worse, and if it's dust just give the Aquaclear some time and it will begin to catch it. Great filter.

Fluorite? Is that Fluorite original? (crushed brick colors)
I rinse for what seems like a life time before tanking it.

I agree, it may just take some time for it all to settle. Just be sure not to disturb the substrate. It took a while for my tank to become clear

haha! yeah I luv the stuff but it's a PITA starting out.
I started using window screen and making a hammock of sorts between 2 carpenter saw horses so I could rinse it using a garden hose.
The good news is you don't have a bacterial bloom lol.

Aquarium Products makes "Crystal Clear"

Looks like coffee in a small bottle, it works and a number of things I tried did not. It's cheap and even walmart seems to carry it if they have a pet section. Won't harm fish or plants and for a couple dollars the bottle is worth using rather than 100 water changes.

I have used it, it works.

+1 on this. I love flourite and use it on just about all of my tank. I swear by this substrate and have experienced long wait times whenever I use brand new bags of it in a tank. But it is worth it the wait.

Pearling.....it's way overrated.
