stunned plant growth

http://www.plantgeek.net/images/plan...ternathera.jpg

i have a plant similar to this except the leaves are fatter and rounder (looks like a spade in a deck of cards). I ve had it for about a month and ive seen absolutely no growth. I have about 15ppm of c02, 4 watts per gallon, flourite, nitrates stay at about 10-15, and i dose flourish, potassium, iron (occassionally). Everything else in my tank is growing well except for my dwarf sag (very slow growth). anybody have any ideas?

Could be Hemigraphis colorata, which is not aquatic and will eventually rot away.

no...its not that....what makes it different is that it has roots coming out of every level or leaf growth. my narrow leaf java fern and anubias is growing faster. geez

Could it be: WATER PRIMROSE (Ludwigia palustris). I have the same plant, with the same roots. My leaves are more spade like than the pic on PlantGeek.
I have a lot of little shoots coming out, each less than 1/8th inch, but my CO2 is closer to 30 ppm, and phosphate close to 1.

Hope this helps.

Walter

OK, fast is a relative term. My tank is only 2 weeks old, and compared to the hornwort, and anachris, no, not a fast grower. From 5" stems it's now about 12" in 2 weeks.
Here is an old pic of it a week ago:

That's Ludwigia, either palustris or repens and is usually a fast grower. If it's not growing it means there's something deficient in your tank. In your case it's probably CO2. With 4+ wpg 15ppm CO2 is just barely enough, try increasing it to 25-30ppm. You'll need to increase your iron additions as well as it's important for the synthesis of Chlorophyll.

Your plants are newly added, give them time (and increase your CO2). Many plants are grown emersed at the nursery and have to adjust to submerged conditions before growing full tilt.

Regards,
Phil

I'd have to agree with Phil. My CO2 is between 30 & 35, and I have both flourite, and the plantex + B + Fe

Hi Phil,

4 wpg would not be a problem with the systhetic chlorophyll (chlorophyll b to be exact)
