DIY CO2 at night

I have a diy CO2 setup in my tank, and I am woried about my fish at night. I have an airpump that I can use, but I don't want all of my co2 to leave the water. Should I need to have an air stone going at night? I'm sorry about this slightly confusing post I just couldn't figure out how to word my queston.

A lotta people inject co2 24/7 (pressurized and DIY) so it really depends on what your fish tell ya. Do they gasp at the surface in the morning? But I'm sure it will be fine, just as long as you watch for any of those tell tell signs that the fish are not doing okay.

However if your still concerned, go ahead and put your airstone on a timer for an hour in the middle of the night to gas out some co2. Or you can also increase surface aggitation by moving your spraybar (if you have one).

Best of Luck!

Before I went pressurized I ran my DIY CO2 system 24/7 with no problems at all. IMO don't worry and bother with just another gadget to fool around with. I like to keep things easy. 24/7 all the way!!!

I run an air stone during the night for my tank because it has a lot of fish.

You will need to provide more information to get a better answer. Let's assume you did not use CO2 before, and your fish did alright without airstone.

Then the question is whether CO2 levels will build up over night to dangerous levels.

Just measure CO2 levels in the morning and evening and see how different they are... Besides monitoring your fish in the mornings of course.
