white dots on stems

I have some white dots on the stems of amazon sword plants. They are about 1/8 diameter, white, hard and stick to the stem pretty good. I normally find a few of them in a straight line formation.

What are they?

Not eggs, but tiny baby snails.

If they look like half a shell, kinda like a volcano, with clear bases and maybe a dark top, then they are limpets. Limpets are a mollusk that move VERY slowly, do no damage to plants and reproduce slowly. They usually end up being eaten if they are visible.
