Yoyo vs Zebra Loach

I have a yoyo (just under 2 1/2 inches) in my planted tank, and a zebra (stopped growing at 1 1/2 inches). I put some ghost shrimp in my tank to see how they do before I try cherries. Which loach would work better in my tank with shrimp? I need one for snail control, every time I have tried not having a loach, I get snails everywhere. I do not overfeed.

yoyo's can get about 6 inches if im not mistaken
zebra or a chained loache is ur best bet

ghost shrimp are bigger and less likely to get picked on but if loaches are hungry will pick at them especially the juicy eyeballs

cherry shrimp will get sucked in and crunched by zebra's. bigger ones might be okay but small to media sized ones are gonners. loaches are primarily meat eaters

There are 2 types of people on this forum. Those that have algae, and those that lie and say they don't.

Good to know. I'll have to figure out a better way for snail control. So far I have not seen the yoyo touch the shrimp. The shrimp are stuid and walk right up to him.
