lack of CO2 = new growth

My co2 tank was about to empty so I took it off last week...

I've noticed this week that the dormant plants (anubias and a oriental sword) now have multiple growths...

Is that right ? Seems opposite to me.

The anubias hasnt put out a new leaf in 6 months. Now it has 2.

same thing happened when i would black-out my tank for a few days. After i turned the lights back on there would be new leaves and flowers-everytime.

I think some plants can do a "hibernation" period, where they rest and then are stronger than before or something like that . I don't know much about it though, but that might be whats happening...
