New Setup.. Any $.02

Hi There.. Ok guys the new tank Is coming along
I was just handed a 29 Gallon for Free with a Stand!!
29"x12" W and L.. Don't know H.
Woohoo

Ok SO here is what i am thinking
I am ordering an Eheim 2213
3 Bags of Eco Complete Substrate
1 65W CL compact Flor.
DIY co2

I am wanting really Bright Green Plants (I know healthy ) meaning Star Grass. Just things that are really Lush looking in the BG.
Then in Middle Pinks / Reds not tall but Contrasting the Green BG.
Foreground lush lawn of Riccia..
Any ideas on some plants / and Setup.

If you make sure to include a CO2 reactor or a diffuser, and stay on top of your DIY CO2, you will have a very good shot at that tank you want. I'd recommend an in-line reactor, but I don't think you can get away with that using DIY CO2 (no experience). You have more than enough substrate and probably enough light, so long as you don't have a lot of floating plants. An additional recommendation: if you want that "super green" look, one of the best moves you can make is to spraypaint the back of your aqarium black. This really brings out the contrast.

I'm about to set the same exact tank up (fluorite instead of eco), same light, same filter, but I just picked up a co2 cylinder.

This should be fun! What are your plans for the tank?

Re-boot!
