Exclamation Under Gravel Filter

is under gravel filter.. ok for a planted tank.. will it disturb the roots o0f the plant? my tank is a 2.5gal (nano) but i didnt install the UGF b/c i dont know if its ok?

I've had really bad experiance with UGF. The wast will build up under the plastic filter and leech into your watter colum causing bacteria blooms. Unlease that what happind to me. I will never use a UGF for the rest of my lidf. You can get a cheap HOB filter for around the same price, and it will do a much better job.

75 gallon, fillstar xp2 with inline reactor, 12 Lb pressurised co2, 4.2 WPG-corallife 3x96 watt PC-, fluorite/silica-sand substright.
