interesting question

I have a quarentine tank painted black on 3 sides. If you can give me 3 or 4 days (labor day party tomorrow with guests, and 20 people for a cookout on monday) I will take some photos and post them for you.

I have aquariums with 'backgrounds" on three sides. I have never noticed any problem with the covered sides. I have never photographed the aquarium so I can't comment on that.

not a very good pic. I don't think there is a way to not have my reflection in the tank? I'll have to think about that. Also the light is a 25w mounted about 8 inches above the tank so not very bright. If you would like, I can try to come up with a little better way to do this, or maybe this is what you are looking for?

yah thanks mike. good idea for breeder tank.

i decided to only paint hte backside, i like looking through the side, also angled shots of the full tank can be done only with sides clear.
