needle valve - harbor freight, Dave Gomberg, clippard

read a bit this morning (too much really). Saw lots of theads on how to get the clippard valve to work, saw one menioning getting a valve from harbor freight (which is almost as close as the lfs - so rally currious about this option).

Does anyone use the Dave Gomberg valve - is it sweet? Does anyone use one from Harbor Freight - which one and estimated price? Will research Cliffard when their site goes back online.

Should I just wait and replace my whole regulator rig when fundage permits? how do the needle valve/bubble counters in the all in one units work? Any est. prices on just counter/valve.

I have a ball valve with a check valve on my tank. Adjusting it 1/1000 of a turn is possible, but not a pleasent experiance. I am using a ladder, so not sure if I need a seperate bubble counter. May switch to a bayo someday - but think it has a built in counter as well.

If you have the ladder you don't need a bubble counter. The Clippard is a great valve and is only about $11 for the needle valve alone.
