Re-scaping - anything to worry about?

I planned on having a dwarf hairgrass lawn in my 38G but accidentally left a sprig of glosso and riccia in there (literally a sprig!) I didn't think much of it until now - the glosso has formed a mat and the riccia is intertwined with my hairgrass. I'm planning on removing all the glosso and replanting my dwarf hairgrass. Considering they are all ground covers, is there anything I should be worried about when the substrate is disturbed?

This may be a no-no, but I occasionally take the turkey baster and gently stir up the surface mulm. The fish go wild with delight. I wouldn't think that re-scaping would be that much different.

I did the same thing, glosso didn't look too good mixed with my dwarf hairgrass so I ripped it out. Then I replanted my dwarf hairgrass in needle size, which allowed each bunch to get a significant amount of nutrients and to grow faster isntead of larger clumps. It took me nearly 1hr 30min, so if your up for spending that much then go for it! It'll help speed up the growth of your lawn as well.

Thank you.

Just thought I'd post a pic on how my tank eventually turned out. Thanks for the advice. Just waiting for it to grow in now.
