hagen ladder question

Hi, I have a 20g H . My hagen ladder finally came in today. I was wondering what is the best spot to mount the hagen ladder . The side of the tank? or the back of the tank. thanks

I have the ladder on my 10-gallon mounted at the back corner of my tank. It works great and isn't too terribly noticable. If you have a HOB filter, I'd suggest keeping the ladder as far away from it as possible.

I think the side wall is the best place, that way, when you look into the tank from upfront, it isn't displaying in it's full beauty. Other thing is if you tend to plant the back area densely, plant leaves will interfere with "The Way Of The Bubble".

I placed it as close as possible to the HOB, so CO2 will be distributed by the outflow and circulation that the filter provides.

Check your ladder daily for fish. My female endler got herself caught up in the vertical channel against the tank wall. She looked pretty beat up from her struggles to get out. Luckily she survived. I would suggest putting something there to block the channel.

I just got my ladder about a week ago, too. This is for my first CO2 system. Does it need to be installed near by the filter or the other side of filter? I use Whisper 5 for my 75g planted tank and is located the right side. I put the ladder at the left. I am planning to replace the filter by Fluval 404 soon.
