agriform tablets, copper and shrimp

I was wondering if anyone had any input on using agriform tablets as a substrate fert. I read they should work, but am a little worried about the .5% copper.

IMHO substrate ferts are not needed. If you take care of the water column then the plants will grow.

And anything with 0.5% copper could cause you problems.

If you are bound and determined to use some substrate ferts why not just order some Seachem tabs?

Speaking of tabs (sorry, don't mean to hijack your thread jgc), my hairgrass hasn't been fairing so well. The way I fertilize it is through 2-3 1/3 caps full a week of Big Al's fertilizer in a 20G L. I read that hairgrass gets most of its nutrients from its roots and that I should probably use tabs. Is that true? I have 44W flourescent 6500K bulbs over the tank.
