Madagascar Lace

how much light do i need for a madagascar lace plant? I have one and it doesn't seem to be doing terribly well. i have very low light right now, at about 1.5 watts per gallon.
My other question is, some of my plants are getting really gangally. Like the stems grow too fast and the leaves get really separated. What causes this? low light, not eough CO2, not enough nutrients?

Madagascar lace plants are particularlly fussy. Expect to change a few things to really meet their needs if you want them to thrive. They like a cooler water temperature, closer to 70-75, soft, acid water, with a nutrient rich substrate, a little more light then you have. Probably closer to 2-2.5 watts per gallon, if not more.

I'm no expert on the gangally-ness, so I don't think I'll tackle that question. Hopefully someone with more experience in that area can give you some advice.

Pooky gave the right info, I didn't want to post a "yeah that's right". But for Momo's sake, here it is.

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

It's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

That IS an aquascape, it's titled "The Vacant Lot".

The 2 main things are the cooler temps and bright light.

I have one and it grows like a weed. The original bulb I planted is now four full sized bulbs.
