Submersed to emersed

I know that plants will often turn brown when grown emersed, then flooded. Is the same true then for plants that were originally grown submersed then planted emersed?

I transferred this article I did for the GSAS newsletter, Northwest Aquaria, to a blog site that might help to explain the process I use to maximize success. Hope it helps.
