What would be good christmass gifts to get a aquarist or a someone into planted tanks.

125 long discus
12 long shrimp
65 puffer
40 planted

Something they don't have? Canister filter? In line heater, glass pipes, the list could go on and on lol

thank you for all your sugestions but do you guys have any suggestions on a substrate that has minerals in it that is not a dirt or sand.

Aqua-soil (not dirt) or Eco-complete is a good substrate and would be a great gift.

i think any planted tank enthusiast would be stoked to receive aquasoil as a gift if you were going to give substrate.
