CO 2 Question

I purchased a CO 2 canister for my tank and with it came these little packs of activator and stabilizer. I am thinking this is just the same as using yeast. Am i right? Can i use regular dry yeast in this canister. If so whats the correct amout to use? Thanks for your help

Almost forgot! I also bought a German Blue Ram fish today and he is acting very odd. He is hiding alot and won't come out to eat and he seems to be opening and closing his mouth alot more than the rest of the fish ??? Is he ok?

Activator is yeast and Stailizer is baking soda - yes, you can mix your own brew in 1/4 teaspoonful/1 teaspoonful ratio.

rams are extremely shy, sensitive, and delicate fish. They adapt slowly to new environments, and need to be in a tank with small, relaxed fish...nothing big, erratic, or predatorial. Yours will hide even after it has become familiar with the surroundings. Be sure to offer substancial cover in the form of plants and rock or driftwood formations. Large, frequent water changes are also mandatory, and maintianing stable water parameters is especially important for this fish. They are very beautiful and rewarding to keep however, so good luck and enjoy.

30 gallon tall, pressurized CO2...killer lights
50 gallon long, killer filtration, low tech otherwise
