Broken solenoid or is it not set up right?

I had one of my insomniac moments last night and I checked my tank an noticed that the pH was 6.3! Then I noticed that the CO2 was still running. It is running regardless of whether or not it was plugged in.

Is there anything I can clean or do to fix this or is the solenoid bad? Or is something else broken?? If it's the solenoid, what usually causes this?

I have a milwaukee pH controller and co2 regulator. This is hooked into a aquamedic 1000.

Thanks,
Heather

Does the solenoid click when you plug it in? Or is there just a buzz?

Since the solenoid is plugged into a controller, The problem would pobably lie in the controller before the solenoid.

What is the controller set at? Try resetting it.

The pH control does click on and off with the set points and it works find (I plugged a lamp in to test it when the pH goes below setpoint .. the lamp switched off)

I plugged and unplugged the solenoid into a regular outlet and I didn't hear anything buzzing or clicking. The CO2 runs regardless of whether the solenoid is plugged in or not.

Thanks

Sounds like the solenoid is bad and stuck in the open position. I would contact the manufacturer.
