Time till CO2 is flowing from DIY CO2 bottle?

Great info so far from Rex and Pia, I have another simple question regarding CO2. I have the Red Sea turbo canister DIY kit and have decided to make my own batch according to the general specifics for a 2 liter bottle. 2 cups of sugar, 2 cups of water, proofed yeast, 1/4 teaspoon of yeast, waiting 24 hours....and very little if any in the way of CO2. I proofed the yeast, fleischmans dry yeast, and after 6 mins in tepid water I got a nice head of foam....looked so good I went and grabbed a beer . Just wondering how long it normally takes for there to be some sort of decent flow in the reactor? If so, what would be the normal rate, or average, rate of bubbles per second on this contraption?

It usually takes about an hour, sometimes two, depending on temperature in the room. The pressure has to build up in the bottle enough for it to get into the water. I'd double check the seals, make sure the check valve is the right way round, etc.
