Possible redo?

I, really like my tank and it has come a long way... However the bug is biting.. thinking about changing my 125 to a low light, low tech ish tank with some hard scape?

Or...., should I leave well enough alone lol

I wouldnt touch it! If anything I might try growing a carpet or maybe less swords and more stem plants. But that's just me.

Play with your Nano and leave the 125 alone.

ehh it looks low tech to me anyways.. that even looks low light
i know u got discus so u can't go co2 crazy or anything.. but play around with it !!!

this is high light
the tank looks dimmer than it really is because the camera is filtering overflow light frm the fixture

this was no way intended to be rude but more just saying. i think u can do more with what u have

According to the charts I am in the high light, and no offense taken.

I had to raise the lighting as it was even with the drop checker more yellow than green I couldn't combat the BBA!

And here is a photo without the exposure turned down.

Its pretty bright

I like the tank. I do agree with the statement about more stem plants LOVE the discus though. They alone make that tank.

Gee...

Get a 12 Long and re-scape it every 2 weeks. Should keep you out of trouble

You should re-do it.

I re-did mine this past weekend and would like to re-do it again ha. Mostly did away with stem plants as I just don't have the time anymore to take care of stem plants. Wife hates the tank to start with and even worse when I spend time on it. Doing water changes 3 times a week she gets annoyed with me let alone when I spend a long time doing changes.

The tank looks awesome now, I wouldn't redo it, but maybe tweak? It could use some background plants behind the existing hardscape, maybe split some of the swords to fill in, and try putting Java fern or something on the driftwood? I just think that center-right area looks a little underdeveloped. The amount of hardscape you have now is great, maybe just something to fill in that empty background pocket.

Then again, if you have been looking at it for a while.... I usually only last a few months before I move everything around for better or worse.

Add a big piece of driftwood right in the middle of it.
