Emersing Sword plants

I have 4 Marble Queen Radican Sword plantlets and have a 15g tank thats cracked but I can put 2-3 inches of water in it. How would I going about changing the plantlets of to emersed? I also have some Java fern that I would like to put in the tank to. Any tips would be great.

Just plant them in the tank and keep the humidity up.

Should I put the swords in small planters?

That would be a good idea if you plan on transferring them in the future, as their roots can spread to a good portion of the tank. However, you don't want the planters to be too small as the roots do need space.
