Going on vacation...fertilising problem

since i'll be gone for 6 weeks.
I've heard of lowering light and co2.

what happens when i lower it to 2 hours only and reduce co2 accordingly.
will plants die without fertilising?

I have full carpet of hairgrass and blyxas.

NOW here's what i can do.
- someone will top up water and feed ONCE a week.

*** I researched into dosing pumps, but i don't think i can afford 3 x $150 pumps. Since I have 3 planted tanks.

Go for 4 hours. You can add root tab fertilizers that'll slowly release ferts in the substrate if the plants need them.

So what did you end up doing?
What was the condition of the plants when you came home?

LOL, 6 weeks...12 months... close enough!

It's CO2. See-Oh-Two. Not C02 (see-zero-two).

Yeh I know this is an old thread but I wanted to know what the outcome was. Surely now he can answer the question.
