Problem with Seachem sensors on Ammonia test

I have a Seachem ammonia test I got about a month ago. Just opened it up 2 days ago to use and I'm noticing if I take multiple samples from the same tank (and same area of tank) that the sensors read different amounts...or rather some have a reading, some don't. I have emailed Seachem about this but has anyone run into the sensors simply not working?

As a norm I dont test my water any longer but I do keep some of these readers in my aging tank for emergencies and they have always worked pretty good in my case. At any point did they get dried out? I used a liquid test to compare my readings.

I think you are misunderstanding. These are sensors that come with the Ammonia Multi Test kit (with pipette, tray, forceps, solution, etc). You don't leave them in the tank.

I thought you were using the Ammonia alert sensors that you leave in the tank, sorry not familiar with the one your using.
