New tank, used to be marine, has yellow stains. Help?

I picked up a tank on CL, and in certain places along the edges and corners, the glass is stained yellow.
The previous owner used it for marine. Any reason why the glass is taking on a yellow tint in certain edges of the glass?
I've tried using baking soda w/ toothbrush to clean it, any ideas?

Is the silicone yellowing? Can happen from UV exposure or contact with plasticizer

It could be. Is there a way to fix it?

Did you notice the yellowing when the tank was located elsewhere? What I'm thinking is that the ambient light is making the silicone appear yellow possibly. If it is in fact stained, I don't think there's anything that will remove discoloration in silicone. And if it is in fact stained, I'm REALLY scratching my head to figure out how something in that tank could've permeated completely through the tank's inner bead. I can think of things that would make it appear green or blue, but yellow would be new to me.

White vinegar. Allow it to soak in the bathtub overnight
