How do I add plants properly?????

Hello, this is my first time with adding plants, right now I have a 29 gallon freshwater tank with 5 white cloud minnows, this tank has been setup for 2 months now and I want to add plants. Right now I have java moss and guppy grass being shipped to me and I should have it this week. Now my question is, what are the proper steps on adding it to my tank? Do I need to quarantine the plants like how we do to fish? What should I add to the substrate? Is it ok to put the plants by the bubbler decor? Any tips would be great! Obviously I've been trying to do some research on plant care and what not but I would like some tips from some veterans instead of a book or google

Welcome! For the moss, you may want to wrap it around a branch or a rock with regular thread to keep it from floating everywhere. The guppy grass can be left to float, or it can be planted into the gravel. They may be up-rooted if planted near the airstone.

Adding root tabs to the gravel can never hurt. They're fertilizers in a tablet form.

I always just plop my plants right in, I don't acclimate them. Never had an issue.

Good luck and post pics
