Transporting fish short distances

I'm going to a friend's house tomorrow with some plants for his new tank. I will also be bringing a single tiger endler for his tank. How so I should I go about transporting it? I have some bags that fish stores use to bag fish, could I use those? The ride is about 20 minutes long.

Yeah, use the fish store bags, stick in some plants for cover-comfort and make sure it's at least half air.

20 mins is nothing you could just chuck everything in a 5 gallon bucket (half full to prevent sloshing) and do it that way.

An ordinary fish store bag will be fine. I also like to put my fish cargo in a dark environment to keep them calm during transit. I usually use a cooler. Make sure to leave some air space in the bag if not using breather bags. Good luck with the transport.

A shipping bag tucked into a box of most any sort is best. A cooler is great if the temperature might be a question. A bucket and driving is looking to get you both hurt. Picture your fish flopping around in the floor while you go looking for water after the bucket tips over.

One small fish like that and a 20min drive, just use a bag from the fish store or even a 1qt ziplock if you needed to.
