Water is shut off

Today is supposed to be w/c day for me.
Unfortunately, my water company is doing an emergency repair and I won't have any water until this afternoon or evening.

I wonder if the water that suddenly comes back on will be okay. Or is it likely to have too much of something in it?
Would it be better to wait till tomorrow?
I will be using the Python to vacuum, so maybe enough water will have flushed thru by the time I refill?

My computer is no longer with the living, so I am on a library computer.
I suppose it is really dumb to ask my question without having much time to wait for an answer, but maybe someone can hop in before I leave.
Thank U.

nailed to the shameful tree.
How vast the love that Him inclined,
to bleed and die for thee.~

Waiting a day before a w/c isn't going to hurt the tank. I would just as soon be safe and wait a day for the w/c. That's my gut feel. No solid data to support it.

After a water shut off in my city, we generally have a good day's worth of rusty water coming through the pipes. I'd take a few extra days before the water change just to make sure - it won't hurt the aquarium.

Somebody set us up the tank!

I agree with everybody that waiting won't hurt, but if you absolutely need to do do a WC, run down to you LFS, local supermarket, etc, get some RO water and buffer it to your liking..
