Bio-Bale Location in sump?

I needed to add some media to my sump, and now I don't have room for my Bio-Bale.

I hate to get rid of it, so here what I was thinking

First a little history on my sump

Drains - One on Each side
Next two chambers have lots of bio-media
Return pump is in the middle

I was thinking of just throwing the Bio-Bale in the middle around where the pump is? The pump a MAG 18 with pre-filter foam on it, so I don't think that would be a problem. Thoughts?

Other option is to put the bio bale in the same chamber as the drians, not sure if this is a good idea as it would get rather dirty and my heaters are in those chambers.

Suggestions?

Well, location is not quite as important as the results of that location.
Bacteria that we are most interested in are high oxygen users, so a location needs to have plenty of water movement.
Debris can plug up the pores and channels in any sort of media that is intended to house bacteria, so it is good if bio media can be placed after other filtration.

It sounds to me like placing this in the pump chamber would be a pretty good way to go:
Good water movement (so good oxygen)
Clean water (after all the other filters)
