Question Need inspiration for an old odd sized metal framed aquarium.

I drove by a yard sale today and saw this out of the corner of my eye. So I stopped and picked it up for $5. It's an odd tall long 15 gallon (30" long x 14" tall x 9" wide). I don't know if I've ever seen an aquarium with these dimensions... The only think I can think of is some cool wood and long vals or hair grass or something... Or should I keep short foreground plants only with some nice rocks and a school of Rasboras / Rummynose or something? Any ideas? Pictures of similar dimensioned tanks would be great!

I haven't cleaned it up but it's in good shape.

Thumbs up

Awesome pick-up.
Looks like a Pemco?
Here's a couple of pics of mine.
I think the dimensions are very similar.
Unfortunately, it's not really a planted tank, until I get some better lighting.

Be sure and do a leak test.
I always reseal, the old tanks, just to make sure.

Thanks, I've got one of those 10 gallon Pemco's too. This one doesn't have any brand name on it and the metal corners taper towards the top.

I'm not necessarily looking for metal frame examples, just similar dimensioned tanks...

Thanks!

There is a very similar tank in the beginning of "The Graduate", in Dustin Hoffman's bedroom, with angelfish and a very loud air bubbler

I had one of those for a while. With the fluorescent hood.
I believe it's a display tank. To keep the fish easily and readily visible.

From my research it looks like the Mr. Aqua 12g long is almost the same dimensions, just not as tall and 5" longer.

I like the Lilly looking plant under the wood in this one...
