Flourish

I was just hoping someone could give me an idea of how many ml of flourish I should be dosing on the EI schedule.

46 gallon bowfront - 3.3 wpg - pressurized co2

I does macros on water changes and then flourish the next day - repeat till water change.

I currently am dosing 6 ml of flourish 3x a week. Just wanted to know if this is enough for the EI schedule.

Depends on how heavy planted you are, I dose 10ml on a 46 3x a week, 6 to 8ml being perfect after a heavy pruneing.

I might bump it up to 8-10ml of flourish to start. Keep your CO2 at 30+ppm and you should be in great shape. You can change your dosing as you see fit, but give each change at least 3 weeks before you change anything again. I have the same tank, with the same lighting. I think you will see great success with EI. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the help fellas. I recently had to take the tank apart so I could move. I decided to up the lighting and go with the EI. It is taking a while for the tank to get balanced, but I like the EI method.

One last question. I noticed that Woffen, you said to dose the ferts dry with tank water. For the first batch I mixed in old 250 ml bottles. Is it better to mix with dry straight to old tank water and the pour in? Also can you mix them all together, KNO3, K, and PO4 in one container and then pour in, or should each one get there own mixing.

Well I guess it wasn't one question, but thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me. I really appreciate the place.

Sure you can mix them at once, I have an old travel coffee mug w/ a spoon I keep under then tank, come dose time, I toss in my KN03, KH2P04, and K2S04, dip into tank stir and server...
