Full aquarium or paludarium/riparium?

Hello all! I'm planning my first serious fresh water tank now. I already have a marineland 75 gallon tank to work with. I was originally going to go for a somewhat basic planted tank with a sloped aquascape, some moss and tall plants with some small schools of fish and CRS, maybe a decent piece of driftwood off to the side as well with a few larger rocks. That was my basic idea for a first aquascape. However then i saw all of the gorgeous paludariums and ripariums. They seem to be slighty harder to set up and get looking good but when pulled off properly they can be real eye catchers and quite unique. So which would you all recommend? money isn't the biggest concern i just want to make something beautiful. When i do start i will post a journal too!
