Duckweed does have a positive side...

I recently got tired of the solid carpet of duckweed in my 30l tank, one with a thick layer of hornwort on top in which baby mollies and young Jordanellas take shelter - so I cleaned out 95 % of it.

Result? For the first time ever, I have thread algae all in the hornwort! Arghhh!

I just cleaned my hornwort too. That plant prevents everything below from getting light. My fish fry do not even prefer to hide in it. I also got rid off duckweed.
