are my plants getting eaten?

Hi, im new to this forums. i was wondering if anyone has had problems with bala sharks or synodontis eating/uprooting plants? somebody is either ripping up or eating my aponogeton, anubias, duckweed, and sword plants. if you had to pick the most likely culprit on who is uprooting my plants (jack dempseys or giraffe catfish?) who would it be? im looking for som1 with experience keeping these fish.

Bump, im leaning towards the bala shark is eating my duckweed, the synodontis is eating my aponogeton and my roots and my giraffe catfish is uprooting everything. does this sound right?

I would blame JACK! He may not eat them but he does tend to dig and play with anything he finds.

ya but the problem is i have never seen any of my jd's uproot any plants. they sleep at night i can tell when i look at their pupils that they are fast asleep. and i have phsically seen my giraffe catfish uproot things multiple times. although close to 99% of the time i dont catch it. but every time i do it is always the giraffe catfish. my synodontis apears to be eating something around the tips of protruding roots. im not sure if it is actually the roots or if its the debris that gets stirred up. and my bala shark goes nip-happy around duckweed. the duckweed gets all over the water collumn because of my high flow rate. so it finds its way into the mouths of all my fishes but they usually spit it out. only the bala shark doesnt spit it out. and when he swims he stops when he sees a piece of duckweed and eats it. my synodontis loves swimming in my aponogeton ulvaceus. she is like majestic swimming upside down through the leaves back and forth. i can really tell she loves them. but i also saw that she appears to be nibbling the leaves. i inspected her favorite plant and found torn leaves/bite marks all over it.
