No fish. Shrimp would work, though.

Do some research, you don't want to start with CRS, but I would suggest any Neo, such as PFR, Pumpkins, or Yellows. You could start with RCS, but I always like to have something that looks good and fits my needs at the same time (know the difference between CRS and RCS).

Good luck!

CRS are generally regarded as an "intermediate" level shrimp, if you will. It is important to start with hardier shrimp such as the various Neocaridinas, so that if you do make a mistake (and you will, at some point, as we all do ) you don't lose as much money or morale. Also, they can be considerably harder to breed.

If you are on a budget, a fun way to work your way up is to start with some decent Neos, breed them, sell them, and then work your way up using profits to buy new shrimp. That's how I got started, being a high school student. Hope I helped and don't hesitate to ask any further questions!

No problem. Shrimp are an awesome aspect/subtopic of this hobby.
