Flourish Comprehensive and filtration

I am just starting up a 36g using an Eheim canister filter and wonder if the carbon pad will filter out the Flourish Comprehensive I want to use for the plants? I know that after two weeks I remove that pad, but in the meantime???
Thanks,

Bruce

Some day I hope to understand at least 20% of what I think I know. And maybe someone can explain the other 60% to me.

Carbon doesn't usually effect ferts.

20g platy, , 2 x 10g shrimp, 3 x 20g shrimp, 7.5g shrimp and 1 great dane/mastiff puppy.

But on the other hand, you don't really need it in most cases so why not take it out and save it until you do need it? Carbon is great for the limited things it does really well but not for everyday use to many. I like carbon to remove odors, color or medicines. If the bio cycle is complete and working as inteneded, carbon only becomes a problem for me. After two weeks it is often so stopped up that all the small holes are useless. I avoid the mess and expense by just not using it.
