Your opinion on this tank?

I want to add neons with my betta. This setup shows that they are fine with each other- what do you think?

That setup doesn't show anything.

Keep in mind that it all depends on the temperament of the individual fish. I've got a betta that once wiped out an entire school of serpae tetras over a weekend. I got home and it was a bloodbath...bodies everywhere. Sociopathic betta swims up to glass to greet me and beg for food.

Maybe you'll get Betta Ghandi...or maybe like me you'll keep Betta Hannibal Lecter.

Also, those neons should be in at least a 10 gal.

I think that you can keep neons with your betta.

I have a Betta in my Community tank. The only fish he seems to bother are the Long Fin Serpae's. But the battle goes both way. They chase him and he chases them.

Just have another tank on hand for him if it doesn't work out - be prepared for it.

I'm not worried that my betta will kill the neons, neons are much faster swimmers. I just don't want them to nip my betta and bully him. The tank in the video is 5 gallons and I have a 6 gallon. My betta is extremely active- he swims back and forth like he's on crack and he's been in my tank for about a month now. I'm just not sure if he'll think he owns the place since he's in the tank first. I dunno what to do if for some reason it doesn't work out, return them?
