What's the best algae magnet?

I have a Fluval Edge and I know they make one for the tank, but the reviews are iffy. The magfloat looks too bulky and I want something that has a strong magnet and small. Suggestions?

I've been eyeing this:

but I can't seem to find it available on amazon/petstores!!!

I have the Two Little Fishes one and I like it. The magnet is strong enough to "jump" around a corner but it isn't clunky like the plastic ones. I got mine online, but I'm pretty sure I've seen them in stores too. Marine Depot has them for $6.79 right now, but they also charge shipping.

Are you talking about this one:
http://www.amazon.com/NanoMag-Magnet.../dp/B001JSTHXS

it's pretty expensive in my opinion. It's the size I'm looking for but I feel it's poorly made and won't reach the 90 degree edges in my tank. If they had the cleaner-mags I posted in stores, I'd buy that in a heartbeat. It's cheaper and made of stainless steel.

Yes, $13 is expensive. But you can get them at other outlets, as mentioned, for $6-$7 and they're well worth it.

It's hardly poorly made and definitely reaches sharp angles better than most magnetic cleaners. There's even a pipe/hose version that is borderline magical.

What makes you think it's poorly made? Just because something isn't stainless steel doesn't make it low quality. If you have your heart set on the stainless one, then go for it. There has to be some website that carries them.

FWIW, I use the Magfloat. They come in various sizes. It works great and when the pads wear out, you can just replace the pads without buying a new float.

But yes, they are noticable and as such, I don't leave it in the tank.

Drs. Foster and Smith has a little nano mag for a decent price.

I saw it yesterday when I was looking at this and wondering, could this possibly work?

The MagFox is a tinier version of the original cleaner that's used for hoses and pipes.

I'd get the original over that one.
