Bio-Media Holder suggestions for sump?

I have an area in my sump I need suggestions with how to put bio balls in it so the water will wash over them.

11 x 4 x 10, I was thinking just a pre-made basket from wal-mart, you know the ones that have the open slots on the sides, but I would need to drill holes in the bottom for the water to flow. Any suggestions of anything else I could use or how I would drill holes in nice fashion rather than just random all over the basket?

ziptie up some egg crate to make a box and put some plastic canvas on the bottom so your media doesn't fall through

Great idea, I will pickup some tonight.

For ceramic rings, any reason I should not set them in the bottom of the sump, say where filter sock area is, inside of little basket like the picture I posted?

I think as long as there is flow moving through them it shouldnt matter too much
