What Should I do?

First off I have a 10 gallon or 20 gallon to work with for my first planted tank. My plan was to move my fish from the 10 and 20 into one of my new 75 gallon tanks and use either one of the 10 or 20 for my first planted tank just to get a feel of things. I was wondering if I should do it in the 10 gallon and use the 20 gallon as a quarantine tank or the other way around? But I'm thinking 10 gallon is too small of a tank for a quarantine? What do you guys think?

10 isnt too small depending on the type of fish youre planing for the 20. As for which would be better to use as the planted tank, id go with the 20. More room for plants that way

Since it's an experiment I'd say the 10. You give up floor space but you can fill it with plants for less money and the heavier the initial planting the better.

Its a 20 high tank. and the fish size may vary cause I want to fill a 75 gallon tank as well. So with that said should i experiment on the 10 gallon?

You shouldn't be putting a discus in a 20H anyways..

It'd be better to quarantine it in a 20, then put it in something much larger

with a 10 gallon, you will be needing to trim the plants more often due the the shorter dimension but it will be easier to get higher pars with the 10g for the very same reason.

What he said.

Why are you going to be putting Discus in a 20G tank?
