Just got cardinal tetras..acclimating them with co2 tank.

I have a 20 Long planted tank..... drip acclimated my cardinal tetras, and pu tthem in.. They were in for an hour. then I turned off the lights. (bed time) bought them at night. My yeast sugar co2 runs when the lights are on. then at night, I turn it off, and turn air pump with airstone on. I know cardinals are sensitive to PH swings.. what should I do? I have left the co2 running in the dark for an hour now.didn;t want to turn it off so soon. sould I run both?
I have rcs and otos in there too. for what it's worth. Thanks.

How do you turn of DIY co2 with out the bottle exploding? I had mine through a airvalve and accidentally closed the valve once, less then 4 hours later the bottle felt like it was about to explode. Hard as a rock.

I would just leave the co2 running, and run the airstone as well.

The co2 system is the red sea bio system. got it before I was really posting on this forum, and read about DIY.

I've never had my Cardinals be sensitive to anything. I move them around tanks that have way different parameters, turn on and off Co2 on a whim, temperature swings. They're champs. I never acclimate them.

allright.... turned the airpump on... my only worry is that they are brand new to my tank, and the higher ph then the LFS due to my co2.... to turn off or leave the co2....I appfreciate you input and knowledge.
3 hours of brand new water. and ph.... then it will change again if I turn co2 off... too much fluctuation for being new fish? or the ph swing doesn;t really matter even if they r brand new.. I'm stubborn. I lost some about a month ago...a bad batch. and don't want a repeat because of something I could of prevented.

You just unscrew the lid of the bottle(s) that produces CO2. The CO2 escapes into the air instead of the tank.
