Multiple Eheim LED's on a new 120g?

Newbie to the forum here but have lurked a lot over the years. I've been doing planted tanks for over 10 years now. I'll post some pics soon of my tanks, but here's my question:

I'm getting a great deal on a 120 gallon tank, stand and canopy. I'm going to try my hand at (wait for it....) a Planted Discus Tank! YES!

At any rate, I saw an ad for the new Eheim 7 watt led's. Am I insane to even consider getting like 4 or 5 of these and 4 or 5 extra lights (you can put 2 on one arm) to do LED? Their website says 6500 Kelvin temperature which should be good for plants.

I'm curious as to the "spread" of the lights--could I get three arms and add an extra light to each arm, putting one arm about every 2 feet on the 6 foot long tank? It's a standard 120, so I think 72" long x 24" tall x 18" deep.

Anyway, thought I'd open a discussion.

BTW, I'm a total Eheim canister filter nut. 2 x 2126, 1 x 2026, 1 x 2128 (just purchased for the new 120). PetSmart has the MARINE grade 2128 thermo filter for $250 online!!

I plan on co2, so I want medium to high ted lights, but not so bright they freak out the discus.

In my opinion, and I've been a happy Eheim user since the late 1970s, you'd be paying hefty premium for the Eheim name and getting sub par PAR.

For the price, and similar but not identical mounting, I'd suggest a track light strip with multiple incandescent pendants and stock, off the shelf, newer technology LED "bulbs" from one of the big box stores.

The Eheim bulb is 81 low power LED emitters. Consider a long string of LED Christmas lights. Would you put five or six strings of 100 over your tank? I have a newer 15 watt LED indoor flood light over our sink. That dark sucker is BRIght!
