Does anyone know of a good way to safely remove hydras from my tank? I suspect that these guys are largely responsible for killing my fish and shrimp babies

I used fenbendazole to kill them. It does not harm shrimp or fish if used correctly. It will, however, kill nerites (not pond snails, though). Fenbendazole is in dog dewormer like Panacur or Safe Guard.

Here is an article about its use: http://www.planetinverts.com/killing...and_hydra.html

Spixi snails eat them. They're hard to come by now though.
