New Idea on Timing

So I am planning out a nano tank I have dry starting and I was thinking of running my lighting and filter on the same timed strip. Do you guys think that on a heavily planted tank 10 or so hours of light and filtration would be ample and doable together. I plan on having CRS in the tank as well.

why do you not want to run your filter 24/7? Seems easier to just plug in the filter and deal with lighting separately.

It may not really be necessary to run it 24/7 with such a high amount of plants. When you look at things like walstad bowls with no filters its kind of a happy medium. Just a thought thus far.

If your filter is stagnant or dries out then the bacteria will probably die

Doesn't really sound like a good idea. Water circulation is nice to have at all times anyway, even if you can get by without it. Even Walstad added a powerhead to her tanks later on just to have it.
