what's a fair price for red cherry shrimp?

I have a good size colony (100+ if not more) of RCS that I'll have to get rid of in a couple months when I move. I just wanted to get a consensus estimate about fair pricing for these guys.

These are just plain old red cherry shrimp. A few of the mom's are close to sakura grade, but I would say almost 99% are just run of the mill guys that vary from lightly spotted, to heavily spotted.

On here, shrimp like that generally go for around 20 for $20 shipped so that breaks down to roughly $.50-.75 each. Nicer ones go for about $1 each. Sakura can be had for $2-2.50 each.

If all 100 are healthy, you could sell them for $70 shipped and that would be a fair price.

If they were higher quality red, well, price could be higher.

$5 per shrimp at my LFS too.

Five bucks for a dwarf shrimp! That's a little outrageous IMO. Especially since they breed like mice.

I see $3.99 each in my area for regular and about $6-8 for Fire Red/Sakura and other bright reds.

I have a large colony of pretty blandly colored cherries and sell them 6/$4 or 12/$7 locally.

I agree on .50-$1 depending on color and a higher price for better color strains like Sakura.

I saw my LFS had them for 6.99 for one cherry shrimp and 3.99 for "algae cleaning shrimp" that look like an amano shrimp. Crazy.

I believe as long as your price is reasonable, people will buy them up. For the most part, everyone loves cherry shrimp. There is always new buyers as well.

You guys need to remember that the LFS has overhead. They can't sell them as cheaply as hobbyists. Rent/mortgage, employees, insurance, electric bill (lots of lights and pumps), lost stock, etc. They still need to pay themselves too.
Although I do agree that much over $4 each is expensive, unless you are in a high cost area where rents would be excessive.
