Plant suggestions!

I just finished some tank maintainance and realized I have a hole to the left center, next to the red flame sword. Any suggestions as to what I should put there? (and then Im off to the swap n shop!)

Tank specs: Standard 29 gal. Aquaclear 75 HOB filter, Aquatic life 2x24 T5HO lights, paintball co2, dosing seachem ferts slightly higher than seachems specs.

Im not sure what Im looking for, something that would fill up nice. I had some ludwigia repens there before, but they looked kinda silly there, so Im not sure stem plants would be the way to go, unless they had biggere leaves. Need help!!

Thanks!

Pictures are worth 1,000 words, and probably half of which in this case would be advice

EDIT: I am an impatient @$$ sometimes sorry LOL!

I think rotala would look good as it will add a splash of color to the mix. It also will contrast well with the leaf shape and be a little different from the others. I am a huge fan of rotala, so this is biased advice LOL. Plus, I am a newbie to all of this so take it FWIW

I would go with something red to offset the greens.

thanks for the replies!

The thing that worries me slightly about red plants is this: I tried ludwigia glandulosa before, and it didnt turn out too good. I dont know if it was a lighting issue or a lack of nutrients issue. ( I was dosing less back then)

Even rotalas have me bit scared. I looked at the plant profiles here and the rotalas all have comments that they can be fragile.

As far as red plants, the african gree hygro has me a bit intrigued.....

IMHO, Rotala macrandra will not survive there, Rotala magenta just might, but it will be 99% green.

If you want 'red', I'd try red tiger lotus or Nymphaea stellata. Cabomba pulcherrima or coralina might do ok. Limnophila aromatica 'hippuroides' would be a stretch. For a more orange color, I'd try Proserpinaca Palustris.

If you want different shades of green, water sprite could work. Hygrophila difformis is worth a try and so is Bacopa (either carolina or australis). (what is the plant on the right?).

You do have choices Just need to find one that works for you.

OVT - I have heard that rotalas can be tricky, so did want to stay away from them. The plants on the extreme right are bacopa carolina. Im working getting that corner filled up!
