Artemis - 36" T5HO Fixture w/ timer

Hello! I was looking at purchasing the following fixture from Ebay...Artemis - 36" T5HO Fixture w/ timer (see attach pixs - from ebay sellers page). Is anyone familiar using/used this fixture brand?

Do let me know your thoughts.

Below is quick summary on what I have as my setup...

- I have a 35 gallon planted tank that is almost heavily planted with different plants. My goal here is to get HC growing...currently not doing that great, but rest of the plants are doing well!

- Got a 10lb CO2 tank with Regulator w/Solenoid on a timer...about 2bps, fluorite substrate, and currently with a Eheim 2215 filter and every 2 weeks 25% water changes. I am dosing with Seachem products for now...(trying to read about EI dosing hoping to convert soon). Lights are 4 T5NO - 6500K also on a timer that are on for about 10hrs a day.

What are your thoughts on this Artemis - 36" T5HO Fixture w/ timer?

looks like a nice fixture but wondering if it will be too much light for a 36. The folks here will know more than me. Still just an algae grower myself.

let us all know how it goes

It would be too much lighting for a 35 gallon setup, I would recommend either a ZooMed T5HO double bulb, or the Aquatic Life T5HO double bulb setup.

Aquatic Life - http://www.bigalspets.com/2x39W-T5-L...archRank=price

ZooMed - http://www.bigalspets.com/Zoo-Med-Aq...archRank=price

45g Long - High Light Planted Tank / 30g - Plant Grow Out Tank / 100g Tank - currently resealing

The odyssea fixture looks good. I was at the local Big Als - Vaughan, Ontario. The manager there was like you should get 4 T5HO if you really want to grow your plants properly etc....I thought that was an over kill. I am still newbie...so still learning.

So I guess I will stick with dual T5HO.... So def' 100% you all think 4 T5HO on 36 is a bad idea.

I have a 36 bowfront with EI dosing and co2 and have 9hr photoperiod with 4 bulb aquaticlife fixture. Very minimal algae, and still not enough intensity to penetrate down through the depths of part of my jungle haha. I have HC and it grows resonably well under the lights.
