Looking for some ideas

What are your favorite stem plants? Just curious, and looking for a little inspiration for my planned aquascape.

Edit: okay, not just stem plants, haha

I moss be in love

Depends on the application for me>

Low Tech: rotala indica - http://www.google.com/search?q=l+aro...w=1280&bih=709

Mid Tech: L. Aromatica - http://www.google.com/search?q=l+aro...w=1280&bih=709

Highish Tech: hemianthus callitrichoides - http://www.google.com/search?q=l+aro...w=1280&bih=709

HC doesn't usually come to mind as a stem plant, but if I'm going high tech, Its going in the scape. Its probably my personal favorite 'stem' plant overall.

Myrio Mattogrosense for one. It's just a green plant but I love the texture of it. I've got another plant that is quickly becoming my favorite but I just can't ID it yet. I'm going to have to PM the person I got it from and ask.

My M. mattogrosense is going nuts right now and I love it.

Another long time favorite is Hydrocotyle leucocephala and H. sibthorpioides is a new favorite. Now that I have had Blyxa japonica for a few months I know what all the fuss is about. Staurogyne repens is a stem too, really neat plant.

I could go on, love all my plants. And so the jungle returns...........

M. mattogrossense looks pretty cool.

Since you mentioned it Kathy, I'll be on the lookout for some Blyxa japonica. I am wondering what all the fuss was about, too.

I moss be in love

I actually prefer Rotala sp. 'Green' to Rotala indica, but both are great and are very easy to grow.

I have to say tho that the most interesting-looking stem plant to me is downoi. The leaf design just looks too cool.
