When should I fill my tank? Dry Start.

I've been doing a dry start with HC for 30 days, you can see the results in my sig.
I am debating filling it right now.
I don't want algae to go nuts but I think I've got a decent amount of plant mass right now and I will probably get some stem plants to float in the tank for the first week or so.

When did you guys flood your DSM tanks?

Well, it looks like you decided that one pretty quick.
I think the typical idea is to flood it once you are happy with the growth. It tends to slow down a lot once it is flooded. Emersed growth is a lot more rapid than emerged growth. Of course that assumes that you open the tank frequently enough to exchange gasses and expose the plants to enough CO2.

lol 11 minutes, no reply... fill it!

But yea, just fill it, what's the worst that could happen? The plants are already growing so that's good. 30 days is too long to wait so you've been plenty patient, time to enjoy your aquarium and not semi-wet bonsai tank.

Lol I've been waiting 2 years.
Solar Mini M light was backordered for 6 months.
Turned my aquasoil to moosh 2 times cause I don't know how to leave things be.
HC decided to self destruct... oh god it's been forever.

I filled it, so far so good but of course algae doesn't take over in just a couple seconds.
