What next?

Roughly a month ago, I had a tankful of fish come down with something that I thought might have been cottonmouth at the time. I started dosing with melafix/pimafix but ran out of the pimafix before the first week of dosing. I continued the melafix for the rest of the week and was forced to stop dosing the pimafix because I can't get it anywhere locally. After I received my shipment of pimafix, I dosed it for one week. Now, about a month after the initial outbreak, I'm wondering what I should do next. You can see the original posting about this here.

One fish (the one whose lips had the largest white spot) still has white on the lips but is acting normally. No other fish shows any residual signs of disease. The outbreak (whatever it was) killed all the inverts in my tank (more than half of my red cherry shrimp, as well as the apple snail I kept in that tank). I have since added a couple of malaysian trumpet snails to the tank. They seem to be doing well, as do the fish except for the aforementioned white spot on the lips of the one fish.

Should I dose this tank again (I have furan 2 on hand now, as well as melafix and pimafix)? Should I put the fish who is still has white on his lips in a methylene blue bath? Should I count the tank as "healthy"? I have some white clouds and danios in a 10 gallon tank where I"m holding them until the affected (29g) tank passes a clean bill of health. I could put some of the fish from the 10g in to the 29g to see if they come down with symptoms.

Suggestions?

Be careful as a lot of medications are not safe for inverts and most will say so right on the bottle. Most Perisite medications contain copper which will kill inverts.
I have never used pimafix or melafix for anything so I have never researched them for copper or other things that are harmful to inverts.

The shrimp were dying before I ever put any medications in the tank. I've also used melafix on a tank with shrimp in it before and never had any problems.

The only inverts that are currently in the affected tank are two MTS.
