Boot Tray for under Sump inside of stand?

Anyone ever try one of these for under Sump to help protect the wood in stand? I was thinking about getting one unless anyone knows of anything else that is less money.

I always put my canister filters inside a metal turkey tray from the dollar store but nothing with my sump.

20g platy, , 2 x 10g shrimp, 3 x 20g shrimp, 7.5g shrimp and 1 great dane/mastiff puppy.

Jim could I make a suggestion? You seem to be starting a new thread every time you have a question about your current build. Why don't you just start a Journal?

Jim - I used this in the sump of my last Cabinet stand http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=151

I've also used it on the plywood deck of a bumper hitch carrier. That was on the suburban a full year rain, snow & heat. Even in all that the water proof effect worked. That deck got wet from the top were I had boat carpet. I should have painted under the carpet. When I took it apart the paint came off in one larger sheet like a plastic film.
